Demrick – Hands Up ft. Reezy

Demrick & Reezy keep it moving with “Hands Up.” The Still Movin’ Monday movement continues, so take a second to stop commiserating and check out the latest from Demrick.

For a little bit of backstory, Still Movin’ launched The Golden Age contest a while ago, which encouraged participants to cop a beat and record their best song. The winner would land a sweet grand prize package, including a trip to Vegas, a studio session with Dizzy Wright, and a few more benefits.

Now, Demrick has led by example and dropped a new track over one of the Golden Age contest beats by Reezy. Over a cinematic, Ennio Morricone-esque sample and trap drums, Demrick spits bars about the current generation’s dependency on social media, as well as some of the changes he’s witnessed throughout recent years.

Trump and Kanye West are some of his most notable targets, but Demrick’s jaded fury does not discriminate. He’s clearly got a lot to say, so why not let it all out on wax?

After a high-energy and scathing verse, Demrick lets the Reezy instrumental finish the statement for him. As the official Still Movin’ Soundcloud states, “Demrick delivers an example of what we are asking artists to do in The Golden Age Rap Contest.”

So basically, if you’re an aspiring emcee looking to make an impression on the Still Movin’ crew, follow Demrick’s work on “Hands Up,” as an example.
