Justin Bieber & Bloodpop team up for “Friends.” “Friends” is about staying amiable after a breakup. BloodPop, formerly Blood Diamonds, teased this collaboration in a July 2017 tweet:
So hard to let go of a song and call it done.
Bieber and BloodPop previously worked together on Bieber’s 2015 album Purpose; most notably on the hit single “Sorry.”
While the single was premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats1 show, “Friends” is now finally available on all streaming platforms.
It’s a single that will probably work for him in the way “Sorry” or “What Do You Mean” did and infiltrate the clubs and the radio and probably everywhere else. It’s another single under Bieber’s belt that will do well.
With BloodPop on the beat, he takes an electronic beat that has the capabilities of standing on it’s own and putting his spin on it.
Bieber and BloodPop are no strangers either, the latter had production credits on five songs on the former’s last album including the two main singles “Sorry” and “What Do You Mean?”
Hopefully, this is a sign that Bieber has a new project on the way.
